Thank you for considering volunteering with BARK. As an all volunteer organization, we always need more ‘hands’ to help our dogs. Volunteer opportunities range from hands-on help with the dogs to supporting our administrative team with fundraising, marketing, or other exciting projects. First time volunteers must complete a volunteer application and attend an orientation. Orientation is held on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. - please sign up before you come at Orientation Sign up. Orientations on any other day are by appointment only. Please contact BARK at if you would like to schedule another day for orientation. Please do not just show up, be sure to sign up for orientation so we are expecting you at 11 a.m. Thank you!
**Volunteer Opportunities - cleaning kennels, washing dog bowls, cleaning and filling water buckets, filling shaving buckets, walking dogs, filling water in outdoor kennels, emptying trash, sweeping. cleaning up after dogs. . . etc. Special projects also come up. We also always need help fund raising if you have ideas! Please check the donate page for our list of needed items. Thank you!
Please note the following age requirements for new volunteers: You must be 18 to volunteer at BARK. This age requirement is in place to ensure the safety of both our volunteers and our dogs. Volunteers should not be on their cell phones while working with the dogs. They need your full attention.
**Volunteers must be dressed appropriately for cleaning kennels and walking dogs. No shorts, no open-toed shoes, no slippers, etc. **Please bring a water bottle with you when you volunteer.
